I’m looking at the early returns of the 2024 election. It appears that the state of Montana has gone decisively Republican and conservative, at least in the higher offices, most of which have been decided by wide margins. Some localized races have bucked the trend, ensuring that there will be plenty of contention in days to come. Donald Trump pulled out (estimated) an astounding victory of nearly 60%, with the Senate seat, both House seats, the Governor, and all state-wide offices running neck-and-neck with him.
What I find ironic is that CI-128, a ballot initiative which would enshrine the “right” to an abortion into the State Constitution, also passed by a wide margin, virtually identical with Trump’s drubbing of Kamala Harris in the state.
This tells me one of three things:
- There are a lot of hypocrites in the Republican/Conservative side of the Big Tent, which means the moral condition of the country will simply tend to worse and worse. But, then, this was already a given and has manifested itself in the past in myriad ways.
- This election was not about a “return to morality and Christian values”, but was probably more a judgment about the state of the economy, that is, money, and the voter’s own personal bankroll. If this is true, then America still has a long way to fall before it crashes hard.
- The voters of Montana have shifted from a position of welcoming and soliciting government intervention into their lives to one of telling the “rulers” to butt out. Not necessarily bad, in my opinion, but unfortunately, the weakest, most vulnerable persons among us will pay the price with their lives, all because we refuse to control ourselves.
“Thou shalt not murder, except by majority vote.” History will record the repercussions of this decision.

ELECTION WON, BUT NOT YET PRESIDENT, and only our Sovereign God and Creator – the Alpha and the Omega, the only one who knows the beginning from the end – knows for sure whether Trump will ever take his seat as President on January 20th!
Much could happen between now and then. That said, know that if Trump becomes the 47th President of the United States of America, it will be by God’s hand and His alone:
“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)
“The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge….” (Micah 7:4)
For what purpose does God sometimes choose the worst of men?
For the destruction of wicked nations in rebellion to their God! Case in point: the biblically abominable Constitutional Republic, born of the biblically seditious Constitution.*
While America hopes that Trump is the lesser of two evils (only God knows for sure), if true, he’s, at best, the lesser of two evils and, nonetheless the evil of two lessers.
Without repenting of his constitutional idolary, Trump will only bring temporary relief to some of America’s national woes. In the end, like all other Presidents who have preceded him, he will only succeed in helping advance America on her suicidal trek to the precipice, officially initiated in 1787.
America’s only hope for salvation from the precipice is a return to Yahweh as her Sovereign and thus His moral law as supreme, exclusively governed by biblically qualified men of God, who per Romans 13:1-7 are a “continual” blessing to the righteous and a perpetual terror to the wicked.**
