A little over five years ago, I posted a short article describing how the situation in America was analogous to being caught in the current of the Niagara River and not able to escape the falls and the crackup which was the inevitable result. Past the Point of No Return

Thirteen years after the original publication and, from my perspective, nothing has changed. There is no going back. America has gone over the edge and is plunging downward at full speed towards the rocks below. For anyone who has their eyes open and their wits about them, this is obvious. For those who don’t, well, it’s party ’til it’s over, rally ’round the flag, and/or hope that Jesus really does come back to snatch you out of the hell which has been created.

We, as Americans, have built the system which is in the process of destroying us. It does no good to deny it nor to blame someone else. We must squarely face the fact that it is of our own doing. We must admit our own wrongdoing. We must change the way we think and operate. We must, to put it into religious parlance, confess our sins and repent with humility, courage, fortitude, and faith in God and God’s Word alone. As individuals and as a society, this is the only thing which will save us.
