In 1996, the US Air Force released a report which detailed the progress already made and the potential gains considered realistic in the attempt to control the weather. The report projected a goal of reaching that point by 2025.
Weather as a Force Multiplier:
Owning the Weather in 2025
Think for a minute about the subtitle shown: “Owning the Weather”. The timeline is irrelevant because ownership of the weather is eternal and cannot be pinned down to any particular time. Who owns the weather? According to the US Air Force, the answer is quite clear and simple–“We do.” And, since the Air Force is only one branch of the US government, that ownership quickly scales up the chain of command so that Donald Trump could say, “I do.”, without any hesitation on his part. Weather now takes on the designation of property.
Ownership, however, is only good to the point where you can protect and defend your property against attack, assault, and confiscation by others. Lose the battle, lose the title. In 1962, vice-president Lyndon Johnson, in a speech to a university audience made the claim that whoever controlled the weather controlled the world. However, the ability of the US to dictate geo-political events overseas has been severely eroded over the last few decades. It is no longer certain that it can control the mechanisms necessary to “control” the weather in other parts of the world. For example, the country of Iran had been experiencing a severe multi-year drought prior to the US-Israeli attack in early 2026, but when various military installations (THAAD, HAARP, et al) in the United Arab Emirates were destroyed by missile attacks, monsoon rains began to fall across Iran in short order. Correlation does not equal causation, but this chain of events seems to be, at the very least, a curious coincidence.
Naturally, of course, other nations are also trying to control weather within their own jurisdictions and/or spheres of influence, and as the American hegemon loses steam, they will pick up the slack. China, Russia, Great Britain, et al. What difference does it make? The question still stands. Who owns the weather? There is only one answer and it is not one that power-drunk, arrogant men and women want to hear. God does. Weather is part of His creation and is lawfully His. Forever, and God does not share. Any attempt to snatch control of it is an act of theft. Any attempt to use it as a weapon is an act of ungodly violence. Any use of it as a weapon which results in the deaths of others is murder. Plain and simple.

When I saw this video for the first time, I immediately thought about John 3:19, specifically, the second half which reads, “…men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
Dimming the sun. Why? What good reason can there be which justifies this action?
I asked this question in the post just previous to this one, but never really got around to answering it. Ostensibly, the reason given is to combat “global warming” which, as everyone knows for certain, will destroy the earth if the average temperature rises (above the mean of the last 140 years +/-) by as little as 2 degrees. We are all doomed, it would appear, unless some people are given the power to play at being God by running roughshod over the entire world. Faith and belief in their manipulations and prognostications MUST replace our faith and belief in the natural processes which have been in place since the creation of the universe. Power and control MUST be concentrated into the hands of fewer and fewer people until there is nothing more to grasp at and everything is within their grip, especially the power to destroy.
In a very real sense, they are following in the footsteps of their master, Satan, who, according to John 10:10, comes only to kill, steal, and destroy. The desire and longing to behave in this manner is described in Isaiah 14: 13-14, especially the last half of v. 14, which reads,
“…I will be like the Most High.”
From the very beginning, Satan’s modus operandi has been, not to create, not to build, not to improve, but to tear down, to wreck, to corrupt. To destroy. To become God in reverse. If Satan cannot create anything from nothing, then he can, at least, destroy what is created, and uses this ability and power to demonstrate that he has almost as much power as God Himself. If humanity can be convinced that it has the power to control the weather and control the amount of sunlight which shines upon the earth, then it will be convinced (much of humanity already believes this) that man is indeed God and can do as he pleases without consequence.
A good friend pointed this out to me recently. These people do not care about anything except becoming God and the way they show that is by deliberately acting destructively. They are nihilists and will do anything, even to the destruction of their own world, to prove their power and might. They do not care about what is “good”, they only want to enhance their own status, therefore, they walk in Satan’s footsteps, killing, stealing, and destroying. They want to be like God, but are not able to reach that level like Satan before them, and so they copy his tactics and methods. Unfortunately, though, for them this only leads to one conclusion, seen in Isaiah 14:15.
“Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.”
Not a future to be desired.
The desire of power in excess caused the angels to fall; the desire of knowledge in excess caused man to fall: but in charity there is no excess; neither can angel or man come in danger by it.—Francis Bacon
