By now, you have probably heard that Donald Trump, when asked by a reporter about the impact on the American people’s financial situation would have on his willingness to cut a deal with Iran, said, “Not even a little bit. I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.” If you haven’t heard it, you should take a look, because this is the man who, more than any other person alive, should be watching out for America’s interests which ought to coincide with those of the average American. Like you and me, but he has basically said that he doesn’t care about us at all. See the link below.

And, to follow along in that train of thought, it appears that Trump also does not care what it costs to build his new, fancy, grandiose ballroom as an annex to the White House, pitching it somehow as a matter of national security. Don’t you feel safer now, knowing that a bazillion or two dollars are being spent on this monument to self-worship? I wonder how much of this money will be spent on a statue, gold plated, which shows him in his triumphant pose surrounded by Secret Service agents (who are not trying to pull him down) from the supposed assassination attempt in Butler, Pa.

"Well, the shots rang out and then the cries,
And he went down, but to my surprise,
Came back up with a fist and blood all over his ear."
Anyhow, moving on. Recently, I posted an article about the dialogue between Trump and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping when they meet, which they did this last week. So far, I haven’t seen anything at all which might tell me how close I was to the conversations which transpired. Everything coming out of the two respective capitals seems to be quite vague and I won’t go beyond that until I can point to something definite. However, looking at these two photos and seeing the body language of both men, I might be tempted to say that Trump has finally met his equal. He simply does not look comfortable nor appear to be on top of his game. Whether this means anything or not is debatable and I leave that to your own discretion.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, I don’t need to write any more.
