Logic and reason are wasted on those who prefer emotional belief, so I won’t go down that road. Instead, I will point to historical instances when people were (and are) forced to wear particular items of attire.

1. Certain Muslim countries require women to wear head or face coverings in public, notably, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the Indonesian province of Aceh. See this graphic for details.

2. Nazi Germany compelled all Jews to wear a special insignia, often a yellow star sewed to their clothing. What is not so widely known is that other societies have also done the same to various subcultures with the intention of shaming and subjugating them.

3. In literature, Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote The Scarlet Letter , a novel which describes the punishment Hester Prynne was forced to endure as a result of her conviction of adultery. Although this is fictional, the theme drew from the historical basis in early Yankee New England in which public “shaming” was rampant.

In all of these, the salvation of society was (supposedly) secured by forcing everyone to conform to a certain standard of behavior, shown as an article of clothing. In addition, there is this:

While there is no coherent proof that anyone was forced to wear a mask during the Black Plague outbreaks of medieval Europe, there is the historical record that doctors wore strange masks during the plague of 1656. This was due to the belief that miasma or bad air was the cause of the plague, which necessitated a layer of protection to filter the air before it was inhaled.

Today, all over the world, immense pressure is put on individuals to conform to the “mandates” by health officials and governments concerning the wearing of face masks. Goggles and ear coverings will probably soon be ordered, all in the name of maintaining public safety.

Forget about religions. Forget about diseases. Forget about everything except the exercise of raw power by the few over the many and then pay attention to what I am saying. Those who refuse to learn from the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. As a word of warning, any government which is powerful enough to order everyone to wear a “covid” mask is also powerful enough to require a burqa, a yellow star, or a scarlet letter. With severe consequences, I might add, for those who disobey or resist.

This time it’s different, though. It can’t happen here. Yes, and the stock market always goes up, too…that is, until it collapses and the suckers who bought in at the top are devastated.
